Others say that what you experience is a false positive from sub-par A/V software. What do you think?
For real viruses/malware, use the tools from http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/windows/
Otherwise, just disable the anti-virus while installing/repairing/running DCS.

if just one of the people were to do this its posisble they would make the change to stop the false positives (then again maybe they just don't care and want to have a really bad rep for false postiives)
No, sorry, it's just that this false virus issue comes up so often that we're just having fun with it.
But the advice to disable the anti-virus while dealing with DCS is good.
I think it should be added in red to the download page.
It's possibly the DRM or other parts of DCS that seem suspicious to some anti-viruses, as they use heuristic analysis and PuP (Potentially Unwanted Programs) detection can give false positives. It's a common issue.
I really really doubt that.
False positives or downloaded from another place entirely..
