There are several device profiles for the X52 available in the User Files section at digitalcombatsimulator.com if you don't want to make your own profile.

It has been my experience that it is better to get in the habit of making your own control profiles instead of downloading someone else's, here are my conveniently listed reasons.

1.) Setting your own controls means you won't need to go all over the place looking for other users profiles, it is quicker to just make your own.

2.) You learn the controls faster since you don't need to memorize both another persons control configuration as well as the aircraft.

3.) Binding controls can be a individual thing, what works for one person may not be desirable to you.

4.) It helps make you self-sufficient.

On a final note, it is always good to remember that you usually don't need to make profiles with the saitek software for DCS stuff, the only reason I did it is to make one profile that turns the ministick into a hat switch, the rest I just bind in the sims controls configuration.

Binding controls can be tedious at first, it can be confusing and intimidating but it is worth it in the long run to learn to do your own, it just makes everything easier for you.

If you only play 1 game/aircraft/joystick this works ok, but there is a benefit to not binding in game as well. For example, you can always have button X do the same thing in all your games and set that up in the x52 software. Then, anytime you have a new game, you can quickly look at existing profile, and copy that info to do the same thing for button X. Also helps for if you have to reformat/reinstall things.
