How do I shoot?? - F86 Sabre

I can start up, take off, get right behind a Mig 15 and.... That's about it. How do I unleash hell on them?

Look, I know you don't want to hear this but the best answer you can get for a question like this is to read the included quick-start manual (in your game directory under mods/aircarft/F-86/Docs). That , or watch one of the many youtube vidoes on the subject.

That said, there is a knob on the lower part of the center console (it is behind the stick from where you are looking) that allows you to select guns, missiles and to turn it all off, that knob needs to be in the "guns" position in order for you to fire.

I've had it in the guns position, but when I squeeze the trigger, it won't shoot. Is there a "Travel mode" that I'm stuck in?

If the knob is in the gun's position, you should be able to shoot with no issue at all, the only thing I can think of is that you don't have your controls configured so that your joystick trigger fires the gun, that is the only thing I can think of.

The Sabre really only has very basic wepaons control when it comes to guns, the rotary knob behind the stick turns all the guns on and off while a panel right below the canopy on the left hand side controls what guns will fire but it is usually set correctly by default.

Check that you have ammo on board..
Use refueling&rearming menu before takeoff.

It's working now. It was weird, I did all the same steps. Huh. Thanks for your input though, gentlemen!

When I shoot the gun on the Sabre, some black smoke/graphical looking thing comes out of the barrel.

It obstructs almost the entire cockpit when I fire. Anyone else have this issue.

this was a long time ago but like how do you fire the guns on the fc version?
