You must be running Mutlithreading

No I'm not that's why I can't figure this out. From all the videos I seen on it others can use DLSS but I can't.

You have to: Use the OpenBeta version of DCS. Run the game from the steam library. Not by using desktop shortcut. There you should see the dropdown menu from which you can select the multi-threading. Then in the in-game graphics options menu you can turn on the DLSS if you turn off the anti-aliasing.

After you install the OB, when you launch the game, you should see this menu:

Well I can honestly say that using DLSS makes the clouds flicker way too much. Turned it off and it worked better.

There may be other settings messing with the DLSS. I am running it on a 4090 with no flicker at all. May try settings on Nvidia control panel 3d settings for DCS it is DCS Black Shark on there.

I cannot enable it even when running the open beta version with MT and having AA disabled.

Do you have RTX card? Updated drivers? You need at least driver version 500

@RadarLuv - can report that with (previously 3080, and now) 4090 I can't see any cloud shimmer. With or without DLSS.

I just upgraded from a 3070 Ti to a 4080 and also have no issues. Quite the upgrade I will say. I used to get like 40-60 fps in the Apache (most demanding module afaik) and now it's between 120-144(locked my 175hz OLED to 144), with settings maxed.

Aside from the price I cannot for the life of me figure out why people are calling the 4xxx series a "skip me" generation or whatever. In both Microsoft FS and DCS I've been able to turn everything up, and doubled my fps in the process. "Skip me" card my ass! 🤣

P.S. Frame Generation in DLSS 3 seems like some fooking black magic. A shame DCS hasn't adopted it (DLSS 3) yet. It doubles your fps in msfs and I see no graphics issues or downgrades.

Because its low VRAM is a joke.

The increase in performance isn't a joke though. Out of curiosity what difference does it make if you're running a game at 144fps with 16GB of VRAM vs running the same game at 144fps with 24GB of VRAM? It's still 144fps that's being achieved at max settings.
