SRS microphone gain
I am having trouble where my friends tell me that they can hear me perfectly clear and loud on discord, but on SRS the scratchy radio effects make me hard to understand, that I'm not loud enough.

I have looked all over the settings and have found no way to increase microphone gain. Can I assume that means that the gain is always set to 100%? In my windows config for my microphone it is set to 100%, and as I said on discord people have no trouble making me out.

Anyone else experienced this issue? I mean do I have to just shout into the microphone for it to be picked up more clearly over the radio effects?

Try turning on "Microphone automatic gain control" (found in "settings" tab) - see if this suits you better.
Did it on my end as i encountered similar issues.

Also, keep in mind that how clear you are always depends on many conditions when using comms. range, environmental conditions, overlapping frequencies, etc.
To reliably test it, try placing yourself very near to your wingmen to avoid influences as mentioned above.

Thanks, I tried that, and still no luck. Am I missing some kind of audio drivers of some kind?

Found the solution, the dev on SRS discord explained that I can tweak the following file.
In the SRS install folder (by default C:\Program Files\DCS-SimpleRadio-Standalone), open the file "global.cfg" with a text editor, and find the line that says
AGCLevelMax=68
Change this to be a higher value and try again, and tweak it from there, making it higher if it still doesn't work after the first change.
Need to close and re-open SRS after each change.
Hope this helps anyone else with the same issue.
