Yea this is the problem is finding a sever host.
https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/271318-fox3-managed-solutions-is-a-managed-services-company-for-dcs-players-we-rent-dcs-servers-that-are-turn-key/
This is true but the price of the server is ridiculous as its dedicated. I was hoping for a standard server rental like most of the games
I've been using these guys for years now: https://www.nfoservers.com/
Outstanding performance for the price, I use the server to host pretty much any multiplayer game my friends and I want to play (that supports headless or at least doesn't require a dedicated GPU), as well as my own TeamSpeak server.
Regardless, if you're looking for some type of service that hosts a DCS server and does all the configuration and everything for you, 99.9% sure they don't exist. DCS is just too complex of a game with too many variables for some type of managed hosting solution.
- a PC wich you dont need anymore, with:
- an acceptable CPU (DCS uses ~4 threads, so an old i7/Ryzen will do, maybe overclock)
- 16GB RAM (is most likely enough for the server)
- at best an SSD with 100GB free space for DCS-dedicated-server
- a fast internet connection and a router with port-forwarding
you can just host your own server in your home.
Cost of electricity would probalby be less than paying for a monthly subscription.
Lets say you pay 20 cents per kW/h and your system pulls 200W when running the server:
(GPU is in idle!!!)
0,200 kw/h * 20ct/kwh = 4ct/h
* 24h = 96ct/d
* 30d = 28,80$/month
When I check pricing, this would be much less than paying for a "Dedicated Game Server":
They want like 100$/month - 110$/month for a similar setup.
So get your hands on something own.
It's cheaper and probably much easier to maintain.

A VPS is fine for most people if you're only hosting a few friends. You can rent a VPS for $45 USD/mo or less if you don't want it speced too high.
