SU-25t Vikhr missile will not fire.. need help

Hello. I have done all the training missions for the SU-25 and I am attempting the Georgian Oil campaign but I cannot figure out why the Vikhr laser guided missile wont fire.. I have no problem firing the other laser guided weapons. In the training mission it fires no problem. I turn on the TV, turn on the Mercury Pod, Lock the Target, Turn on Laser, then line up the airplane with the laser circle on the HUD but cannot get it to fire. Am I doing something wrong ?

You'll need launch authorisation and to line up the Vikhr reticle properly in a shallow dive. It does have it's own little way of working because it's a beam rider not a beam follower. Best bet would be to run through the training mission tbh

From what did you write, i guess you are not i range. There have to be LA symbol (or russian equivalent) on the HUD.

Vikhr have around 7km range. If you are too far, it will not launch. Also the VIKHR must see the laser. Make sure the big circle which represents the VIKHR sensor range is pointing the target. Also mind the laser can overheat. After around 10 minutes it will automatically cool down for around 2 minutes. Then you have to turn it on again.
