I dont fully understand FC3 and the individual FC3 planes
So the plane list for FC3 has more planes, but individually there are only 3, so would I just be better off getting FC3 then, rather than just one at first, and then the other two later? Since it seems like FC3 has other planes in it as well...

If you have the money and like to try different types of planes, get FC3. If you are more interested in a single module, then get that. IMO, FC3 is worth the cost.

Well I was more asking if FC3 has more than just the 3 seperate DLC planes, and if it does, can you get them without having to buy FC3? Since you're basically paying for stuff you already have then

Flaming Cliffs 3 contains these flyables:

F-15C
A-10A
Su-27
Su-33
MiG-29A
MiG-29S
Su-25

The 3 current Flaming Cliffs individual DLC are:

F-15C: DCS Flaming Cliffs DLC
Su-25: DCS Flaming Cliffs
A-10A: DCS Flaming Cliffs

The free base DCS World contains these free flyables:

TF51
Su-25T

So to answer your questions, the Su-27, Su-33, MiG-29A and MiG-29S are today only available in the Flaming Cliffs 3 pack. Over time they may be released individually, but not so far.

Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the individual Flaming Cliffs aircraft being updated with more advanced flight models and better, 6DOF, cockpits?

If so, that may be an incentive to consider the individual aircraft over the full game.

Any changes made to the individual FC aircrafts DLC modules are also done in FC3. The modules are there so if you are interested in only a F15, then don't need to get all of FC3. If you want variety, get FC3. All improvements will be done on DLC and full FC3 at the same time.
