they are both tools, CCRP for higher altitude level bombing ensures safety while still killing and is generally a better release method but CCIP can be just as good.

consider targets types (shilka, you don't want to enter 14k feet use CCRP)

consider target types (tank, you can fly to within 2km without fear, use CCIP and drop a bomb on his face)

On what modules? On the FC3 aircraft i use CCIP on the A10 i almost only use the gbu12 in CCRP mode (if i want to use bombs obviously , i also use other weapons)

"I ain't got no time for a release cue.." :D:
For unguided bombs I use CCIP.
For guided bombs I use CCRP.
As simple as that :D:

CCRP for high and straight. CCIP ( more accurate ) for fast, hard dive, low altitude release. Really CCIP is more suited for fast jets, as you have to be really low and fast in the A-10 in order to just get the death dot to come up on your hud. I've heard that in Iraq, the A-10 pilots would fly straight and level at about 15000 ft, using CCRP to nail ground positions. Also laser guided bombs to plink tanks. Kept them out of range of all the MANPADS down there.

in A-10C with laser yes you can CCRP anything but take away the TGP and CCRP is less useful (still possible) as for CCIP having to be fast and diving, you only need to be fast and diving when your within the proper slant range, you could just as easily fly level and flat till 5 seconds before your divebomb.

infact if your minimizing your entrance into the enemys WEZ this is exactly how you would be CCIP bombing (but all i ever see ppl do with CCIP on stuff that fires back is fireballing)

no matter what CCIP is gonna lose you some altitude,

Only when flying with A-10 you need to be afraid of anything below you, but when flying with Su-25T you get on enemy face and laugh while destroying all of them.

Real pilot delivers bombs just using his Mk.I eyeball....

judging by everyone only ever using vikhrs and doing SEAD videos of the Su-25T I would suspect there is actually not very many "real" pilots... 90 pct of the community is huey or airquakers, nevermind the finer points of droppin dumb bombs. I practice dropping dumb bombs from every aircraft.

Lol, airquake, I like that. Yeah, it took me a LOT of practice to get even near decent with iron bombs. Most everyone just wants missiles, guns, and laser guided. Dumb bombs are hard, but you can carry a lot more, and also immediately disengage the target.

not that theres anything wrong with flying the huey or F-15C, its just these people should also be able to do ground attack in another airplane of their choice... its not much fun right now for F-15C's to go shoot down the other teams ground attack airplanes while they have no PFM/AFM Su-27 As for the hueys/mi-8s... i have troop drop in my mission file via CTTS but have yet to actually tie it to any kind of reward system or purpose for doing and thus doesn't contribute.

just felt as though i should explain why i seemed so negative against these modules, its not thay they are bad.

Which is why I'd really like to see us get some decent tanks / apc's and playable infantry on the ground, so the ground / CAS missions actually have meaning. With the new EDGE graphics coming out ( the grass looks really nice! ), we could start putting in at least the beginnings of an Arma type World.
