Nvidia Surround 3 Monitors
Has anyone experience using 3 Monitors with Nvidia Surround. Overall, it works quite well to use 3 Monitors for displaying the cockpit. However, the left and right monitor (especially at the outsides) are more zoomed-in. Has anyone an idea how to solve it?

Can you post a screenshot?

Monitors should be somewhat "angled" so there is more natural left/right side instead of wall of view so that might be it depending on your setup.

- Top picutre: TrackIR centered to the front, right shelter appears very large on the right monitor
- Bottom picture: TrackIR centers on the right shelter (center monitor), the building is much smaller now."

my left and right monitor have an angle of around 45 to the center

The problem does not occur when i choose 3 Monitors in the settings, but in this case, FPS drops around 50%. The screenshots use settings with 1 Monitor and Nvidia surround activated

Hmm.. Screenshots seem pretty normal so it is not likely in DCS side. FOV might be bit too high so there's too much of "fisheye" effect. Otherwise I think it might be Nvidia surround affecting and the 1 monitor setting interfering with how it should look like.

1.5 beta is more efficient in rendering so that might be better with 3 monitors.

In 1.2 you have two choices: "3 monitors" option disabled but you get a fish eye effect or enabled but you get a big fps drop. In 1.5 however, you can enable that options and the performance is much, much better. You need to enable "beta" in steam for 1.5

Thats kind of how surround and eyefinity work. Lots of times they just stretch the graphics. You see it a lot in shooters also I've learned to use it like a zoom feature in games. Can't see if that is a person far off in the distance? Turn left or right and you can now see theml. Can't see that SAM site? Look out your side windows, THERE IT IS! :)
Unless the Dev have actually created art in 5670x1080 its going to get stretched and saddly none do. :-(

Also in DCS make sure you are using the 1 screen option the 3 screen is only if you wrap the side screens around you, like a U shape and it looks really odd if your monitors are only angled in.

No just use the 1 screen unless you have the side monitor really really angled in and sit reeal close to the monitors.

In a 3D engine it should not matter what kind of "art" is made - graphics engine should adjust to that by showing wider area or limiting vertical view to make it look correct on very wide resolution.

Fisheye-effect is if engine assumes it is all "flat" projection of 3D view into single monitor - when you have three monitors (that are angled) you really should use three monitors in settings so the sides are displayed correctly.

Happily 1.5 beta is much more efficient at rendering. If you don't want to update it now it should be "final" at some point (2.0 with NTTR support is expected this year too).

Whatever but surround and eyefinty do stretch the graphics you will see it in many games if not all if you use surround, l it is how surround works. And No the 3 monitor option will look terrible unless you wrap it around your view. It's like looking out a side window and if your 3 monitors are only slightly angled it is all wrong.

I've used surround and now eyefinty trust me 3 screens looks like ♥♥♥♥
And this is still true in1.5

Hello there

I use a three monitor eyfinity setup and of all the games Ive played this way only DCS gets it right anglewise.

Im tempted to angle my monitors even more for that cockpit feeling.

I have different sized monitors so there is a tiny bit of misalignment but nothing drastic.

It does sound like oP has an issue and its not soley caused by "stretching"

The ops problem is exactly from stretching also called the fisheye effect

Is this a 'field of view' sort of issue? There's some examples of changing the view FOV here:
