Heavy R
P-47 won't recognize Thrustmaster Hotas One throttle, and alternate fixes to the stick get dropped from gameload to gameload. I've tried mapping each time, no fix there. Help!

The throttle is recognized when bound for other planes?
HeavyR 24 DIC 2020 a las 13:48
Thanks, Sandhill - no, DCS has never recognized the throttle. I had some luck mapping it to Buttons 13 and 14, but even that doesn't work anymore.

Did you try to update the controller drivers?
The latest drivers for your stick was released in 1st December 2020. You should try them.

Also you can try to update its firmware. It is in the same link I've posted.

Also make sure in steam big picture mode is not turned on any controller emulation. No matter you use it or not. Sometimes it happens by itself in steam.

Thanks, Troll Norris - I watched the video and will give the mapping another try.

Thanks again - I think I have the newest drivers and firmware now and will update.

Same problem. DCS P-47 Beta just will not recognize the Thrustmaster Hotas One throttle slider. I was mapping throttle up and throttle down to B14 and B15, but even that's not working now.

O.k. I don't understand now. Does system recognises all buttons and axes?
If yes, then I guess your problem is just the axis and buttons are not properly mapped in game which is very ussual because there exist many controllers (+ the DIY devices) and devs are not able to make presets for all of them. So you have to map them by yourself.

Also make sure you are mapping axis in the axis commands category. It is not possible to map axis as button and vice versa.

Throttle slider is working fine in Su-25.
Troll Norris 24 DIC 2020 a las 16:08
Probably because SU-25 is one of the oldest addons so there is made quite a lot presets for it.

Most of the mapping is good, axes, trigger, hat, etc. The throttle slider is the problem (in P-47). The assignment just will not take (the throttle field does not recognize the slider being worked up and down), and the mapping fields contain no reference to the appurtenant throttle assembly of the Tm Hotas One anyway. (Though mapping to B13 and B14 -- both on the throttle assembly -- worked for a while. But not anymore.) Again, the mapping seems nearly ideal on Su-25, including the throttle slider working fine.

Do you change controls from main menu or from game session? Try that from main menu.
Open the windows control panels\devices and printers
There you will see your stick. Right mouse button click on it and select "settings of gaming device" or something like that. Double click on your device. Check the all axis and buttons works properly.

I don't know about the Thrustmaster, but for my Sidewinder Extreme Pro I always need to delete the default Axis throttle binding and tune a new one binded to the joystick slider.
