Considering their content, I can't say I am surprised. You should try out some other DCS Youtubers.
i have one too (not even in usb, the one with the adapter) they are very solid, indestructible
plug it directly
go to the device manager (driver recognized immediately)
initialize and calibrate
in DCS modification of the controls it appears
go to flight control
the X and Y must appear pitch roll
the Z is the rudder pedal
no problem with this joystick (the easiest to install)
the thrustmaster 16000 are not as reliable
i do not use the force feedback
for a helicopter I have the thrustmaster collection
DCS isn't really built around buying all the content. The idea is to pick the stuff that you are interested in and focus on that. It isn't some kind of "gotta catch them all" thing.
fair but it's like $70 for one plane and that's just crazy in my opinion
For what you get I think it's pretty good.
if you download the non steam version they do 2 week module trials , atleast that way you can better judge the value to you , personally the work that goes into the modules is worth it to me but your mileage may vary.
also they usually do quite a few sales each year.
