Purchases from DCS webshop are no longer merged into Steam:

Ok, that clarifies it a bit.
Does it say where the coupon can be used?
DCS/ED webshop or something?
If it is not coupon for Steam then you are out of luck as key merges into Steam are not done any more.
Can't give a key we don't control. Valve is the retailer on Steam, ED has no control over keys allocated to Steam prior to purchase - and unfortunately Steam no longer accepts database mergers from external sources of DCS sales (like the ED webshop).
It's unfortunate, but as far as I know that coupon only works on the ED store, unless otherwise stated on it. Purchases made on the ED store will not be importable into the Steam distribution. HOWEVER: do note that purchases made on the Steam platform IS importable into the ED distribution! So you won't end up needing two DCS World installs, you'd just no longer be using Steam. (However, do note that you can still access it throug steam, and have overlay etc working, through adding the non-steam distribution as a "non-steam game" in your Steam library. Autoupdates etcetera will still work, just not using Steam servers, rather ED's own system.)
although do not expect any support and this could already have been broken by previous updates.
an example to this was when i had huey on steam version before steam sold the huey dlc... as i said though do not expect support from ED or the discussion boards for any problems that may occur from this, and for most its to much work to run the standalone to update and recopy files into the steam install.
just throwing this out there incase you wish to keep using the steam version with all your modules (although not much point i admit)
