Install size
Over 500 GB required by Steam to install. This is getting insane and I can't keep it installed anymore, it can't even patch update without hitting space issues.

Yes, the file sizes for this game has gotten completely out of hand.

I tend to buy most of the DLC as it comes out. I got a new computer the other day and set about downloading it. It was impossible. The machine only has a single, 2TB ssd with windows installed on it and a separate 1TB HDD.

My DCS download was nearly 900GB. I had to go through and curate which DLC I really, really wanted to install. Got it down to 460GB. I have a new, 2TB SSD coming today to use only for DCS lol

Does the steam version of DCS work well if it's not on the same drive that your steam is installed on? I know same games want to be on the same drive as steam, or they don't work well.

Lol I hear you I bought 2 tb ssds a 1tb and 2 500 gb plus 4gb in external not including Windows 250gb ssd. I have a lot of games 450+ and DCS was big enough to get an hd designated to itself.

Steam has no issues reading drives. I have steam on same HD as Windows and games all have separate ssds. You just have to go and add drive from steam settings. Nice thing is that I have had my windows drive crash before and upon recovery all my games remain unharmed or removed on seperate drives.

yea i play on laptop and im left with like 10-20GB of disk space. they should do the same treatment epic did to fortnite and reduce its size by 60%

I just installed DCS. I'm not new to DCS but wanted a clean install. All that's installed is the A-10C and A-10C ll. That's it. No terrains, except what DCS comes with. The install is 199 GB. That doesn't seem right.
