Shortcut to MT steam version and parameters for VR
Hi, I'm quite new to DCS and VR.

If im not wrong I think I need to add some launch paramenters to use QuadViews in VR.

The parameters are: --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR

I have been reading mixed information about these parameters. Some peaople say that "--force_OpenXR" is not needed anymore since MT forces OpenXR by default. I'm using Pimax Crystal and I noticed that using these parameters triggers PiPlatformService_64.
Right now, the only way I have been able to launch MT with parameters is through properties in steam library.

I rather have two different shortcuts, so I can choose VR (MT with parameters) or monitor+head tracking (just MT).

A simple shortcut to ...\bin-mt\DCS.exe launches the single threat version instead MT. This solution seem to work only for the standalone version.

Note that the shortcuts that steam creates (desktop and start menu) are launching ST ( steam://rungameid/223750 ) no matter what you define as default in "library / launch properties".
For MT should be ( steam://launch/223750/option1/ ).

I have tryed ( "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe" steam://launch/223750/option1/ --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR ) It launches MT in steam but is ignoring the parameters.

Is there a way to create a shortcut with parameters to run MT in steam? It has to be a way to avoid having to manually add / delete them every time.

Additionaly, any info about this PiPlatformService_64 would be appreciated. It stays open after closing DCS and I am not sure if this is normal.

Thanks in advance

I,m using this parameter for startup

--force_enable_VR

Using OpenXR wich starts with Steam and not Oculus.
Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop and it works very well.

I used OpenXR companion. Had to disable it after the 2.9 Update with the launch. Then it worked.
