Flaming Cliffs 3 no long available on steam- why?

Was going to buy this on steam in sale earlier today when it WAS available and now this evening it states "Flaming Cliffs 3 no long available on steam"
Anyone know why this has happened?
I am new to DCS but if this is the sort of things that happens I am not inclined to get into it if steam are not going to fully support it.

Apparently not. lol

I was going to consider getting FC3, but when I went to buy it... it was gone.
So I just bought the F-15C and A-10A instead.

This is not gonna happen before the sale ends, right? Hate to sound pessimistic but it seems I'm about to be screwed over here. Look, I've already spent several hundred bucks on DLC and played the game since 2012 or 13. I'm not asking for special treatment or anything but I don't think we are trying to rip you off in trying to pick up some stuff during a sale. But to be honest I doubt I will ever bother getting the same content if I have to pay full price for it after this. Updated or not. Just doesn't sit right. Anyways, best of luck.

They did "fix" it, and it was available for purchase during the sale. However, they removed it a couple of days ago.

This is why I bought it right away when it was on sale, as it was clear that it would be removed to make way for FC24.

With the planned patch today 11th of July the Flaming Cliffs issue on steam will be resolved.
Flaming Cliffs 2024 will be available and the new individual aircraft.

I own the old version of Flaming cliffs, my understanding from what I have read online is if I own the old version I still have the planes & it is updated for owners such as me automatically & I don't have to buy the new flaming cliffs 3 is that correct the aircraft still show up in my dlc but the old flaming cliffs dlc does not & does that mean I have to pay for the version because I read we don't have to purchase it for older owners of the dlc even though it's only $11 I don't see why you would have to purchase it twice.
Any feedback from anyone would be greatly appreciated just in case the price rises thx.

You do not get the new planes for free. If you own FC3, you will be able to purchase the 3 new planes for $9.99 USD.

kinda sketchy, could have bought the old FC3 for 50% off and then spent another 10 to get the new FC4 aircraft but when i went to buy it, it was mysteriously gone from the store, now i would have to spend 70 bucks for it. huh.
