Free mission?

So I finally got a good laptop to run DCS... all i want to know before i download this huge chunk is... so I can't spend money on paid content... is the free worth i? like are there missions to play with the free Su25t plane? Would appreciate the help :)

There are some missions for the free aircraft already in the base game.
For the SU25 iirc there are 10 single missions and one campaign included.

Anyways, the game includes a mission editor where you can play around with whatever scenario you like or just create your own.

How about in editor??

Can I place some ground targets.. takeoff from the runway and shoot them down and play it as my way?

For F-22 you need an F-15C. Because F-22 mod uses the existent F-15C aircraft as a platform. By the way, you can buy one of the "Flaming cliffs 3" planes "A-10A", "F-15C", "Su-25", "Su-27", "Su-33", "MiG-29A/S/G" when there will be a sale. All these planes are low fidelity and I assume that with a discount of 50% you'll be able to buy 1 or even 2 of them. They all have a realistic flight model but a simplified systems, and they are very fun to fly. Su-33 can be even used with a default "Kuznetcov" carrier. Just don't choose the "Kuznetcov 2007" in mission editor because it is from "Supercarrier" module and if you don't own it, you'll not be able to take off and land on it. The AI planes can do it, but not you.

In a mission editor, you can do anything you like. Even a very complicated missions with a lot of triggers and scripts. The free Su-25T can be even used in multiplayer, but you need somebody to cover you, because the Su-25T is not designed for air to air combat. In a single player, you can create a cover group of Su-27, Su-33 or MiG-29A/S planes.

So I can basically use the editor and just use the free plane Su 25T to make some missions as I like? If it's true then I am downloading this game...

I would really like to buy the other planes but I am not in a position to request my parents for a toy in a 'video game'.

You can. That´s one of the main game features. You can build anything you like.
