Hence no FC4.
it is always good to get feedback.

A FC attack and transport helo could be a logical step to close the gap to the high fidelity one's. Something like a RAH-66 Commanche, AH-1 Cobra, maybe even another version of the Hind. For transport I'd say the BlackHawk would be essential.
something that can do SEAD good and close the fast ground attack gap with blue.
F-15E is a bomber not a fighter :(
love it.
- Fighter
- Attacker
- multi role jet
- Attack Helicopter
- Utility Helicopter
By having one of these for each side, you get a balanced game that can be fun for everyone.
FC3 did the first two well enough, with both sides having an ADF and an attacker, but lacked the rotary wing bits. Not surprising though, as rotary is a much more recent development. As far as multi role goes, I'd say that this is a more recent development as well. True multi role aircraft only came into being in the 80's for the west and the late 90's for the rest of the world, but the convergence had been happening since the 70's, so I'd include them as well.
If MAC does eventually surface, I would like to see something like this list though.
Perhaps for BLUFOR, situated ca. 1985 I would like:
US:
F15A as a fighter
A-10A as an attacker
F-5E as a multirole?
AH-1Q (or perhaps S, if you take a littel bit of liberty with the timeline) as Attack chopper
Ch-47 as transport
France:
Mirage 2000 for fighter
SEPECAT Jaguar A as attacker
Mirage F1 for multirole
Gazelle as attack chopper
SA330 Puma as transport chopper
UK:
Phantom F.3 or Tornado ADF as a fighter (with a pretend radar instead of a lump of concrete as a radar)
Harrier GR.3 as attacker
Phantom FGR.2 would also be a good mult-role
Lynx AH.7 attack heli
Puma HC2 as transport heli
And for REDFOR, I'd make the following lineup:
Russia:
Su-27 as ADF
Su-25 as the attacker
Some MiG-23 variant as the multi-role jet
Mi-24VP as the attack heli
Mi-8TV as the utility heli
Unfortunately, the chinese efforts are not really worth much until the 2000ś, so REDFOR would be pretty much limited to this.
