Radio Static on all planes

Hi i recently have this annoying static noise coming form every flight takeoff or alr in the air, is this a bug? It hasnt happen to me before, ive changed nothing about the map and im getting all these

Squelch is a noise gate, basically. You know how you can set an AM radio to a random frequency and it'll just be just static? That's because the gain circuit is trying to amplify what it receives, but since there's no strong signal you just get very low level signal noise amplified.
Squelch, in effect, automatically silences that, but lets a strong signal (actual radio transmissions) pass.

Even the cheap walkie talkies usually have a button you can press and hold to disable squelch.

You would disable squelch if you wanted to monitor the frequency and thought there might be transmissions that are very weak (possibly from far away), at which point you can _maybe_ hear them without the squelch on, while they might be completely suppressed with squelch on.



Now, in some DCS modules radios have the ability to disable squelch. But it's usually (always?) turned on by default. Can you make a short video or share a replay track?

same here, in my case is not the squelch, did you solve the problem?

I have had this issue pop up a few updates ago. It has been a while. I just found the issue today.

It is the VHF Comm Radio which on the Huey defaults to 116.00. It is always blasting static, it is just quiet most of the time. It looks like it might depend on which airfield/map you take off from and it will decide to crank up the volume.

Next time you fly, try turning off the VHF Comm. I am not sure if it is a bug or supposed to be that way, but it is annoying as hell.
