8GB RAM is minimum for DCS 1.5 and I totally recommend getting 16GB RAM straight away. Also, using a HDD connected via SATA3 isn't something I recommend either. DCS benefits greatly from using a SSD instead. I have two SSD's connected via SATA6 and a HDD (hybrid disc) connected via SATA3 for storage and games that don't benefit from fast disc access. I use a 120GB Corsair Force SSD for my OS and software needed and a 500GB Samsung 850 EVO for DCS and other games. If I was to build a rig from scratch today I wouldn't bother with HDD's.
You should also look into getting a K-series CPU. I am using an old i5 3570K that I have OC'ed to 4.2 GHz. DCS is still and will probably always be CPU hungry so the faster CPU you can afford the better and overclocking capabilities won't hurt either.
Since the newly introduced Dx 11 support, DCS also takes better advantage of your GPU and the better the GPU the better the performance. Don't expect any real wonders from a 960 since DCS is very demanding if you crank graphics up. If I was to replace my GTX 680 2GB today (something I will do soon...) I would seriously look into getting at least 4GB VRAM or more (probably at least 6...). More and more games take advantage of a larger amount of VRAM so in order to get a rig that lasts a while I wouldn't go for a 2 GB card today.
Other than that, the Intel CPU + Nvidia GPU combo is great for DCS!
Last but not least, when you build or order a new rig, don't forget about proper cooling and fan setups. DCS puts a fairly decent strain on any rig so cooling is important.
Thank you so much that's exactly what I needed to know
the system you picked out
A. does not have enough ram 16GB MIN and 1600SPD not enough difference in price and it's the best speed/timings.
B. the Video card does not have enough Vram and i dont not see future proof you should step up to 970 or ATI 390 if you have the money and alot here depends on future do you ever plan on a HIGHER res monitor...the 970 only has true 3.5GB RAM where the 390 has 8gb of stupid overkill.
C. you HDD's i would suggest a SSD 128 to 256 with bigger better as your main drive and then 1TB HDD as your data/games on
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/kryG7P <--what you have now
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/wp9bWZ <--MORE FUTURE PROOF
with this said i tried to go as high but as low as i could on the more future proff model but play around with your budget just remember tommoro will require faster hardware.
Thank you for the advice appreciate it.
3-4GB VRAM might be good idea, 2GB is the minimum these days.
Thanks
How about this:
Intel Core i5 6600K 3.5 GHz
MSI Z97M Gaming
Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500 GB
Corsair Force Series LS 120 Gb
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4 GB G1 GAMING
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Corsair CX 750
Intel Core i5 6600K 3.5 GHz<-please select z170 MB
MSI Z97M Gaming<<---THIS DOES NOW WORK WITH ^^^^THIS
Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500 GB
Corsair Force Series LS 120 Gb
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4 GB G1 GAMING
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Corsair CX 750
you dont mention ram here either and it's a key component....and with 6600k u would mostlikely use ddr4 ram.
I POSTED A LINK PLEASE USE THIS TO BUILD A SYSTEM AS IT WILL MAKE SURE IT ALL WORKS RIGHT https://pcpartpicker.com
Thanks man I am sorry I'm just an amateur in pc building
Thank you buddy, this is my first PC build so I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to computer parts so I hope this is correct
Corsair CX 750
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4 GB G1 GAMING
DDR4 Gskill Ripjaws 4 16 GB 2666 MHZ CL15
Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500 GB
Intel Core i5 6600K 3.5 GHz
MSI Z170A Krait GAMING
do some reading i'm not 100% up on the latest on ddr4 ram IF you have the budget, were back here again look in to a better cpu cooler maby a H100 OR SIMILAR water cooler there's nothing wrong with the 212 i have one right now. also look at NVME IE samsun 950 M.2 drives if the board supports it and your budget. rly there are 100's of options and it all comes down to the $$ to burn and it goes up quick.

but HP had a 30% discount going if US and a 6700k 980TI with the discount code was only 1200$ and you sound like you would build but i think that sale is over.
30% off customizable desktops $1199 and above with code BMSM30 at HP. there are also sites like cyberpower and ibuypower but i have not seen any codes like the HP as you get what you pay for but they by far are offering the chepest i have personaly seen recently
Appreciate the info, let me explain something I currently live in Morocco so most websites if not all of them in the U.S. don't ship the parts I need to Morocco that's why I didn't use the pcpartpicker.com website for my build, instead I found a website for a store that is based here in Morocco and they have most of the parts and the best thing is that they offer to build the PC for you to your specs so don't worry about me trying to build it my self which I was not planning to do. Now about the budget, the problem is that the parts cost a little more expensive here in Morocco because of some silly taxes, so the total cost of the parts I chose is 1900$ not including a case for the PC, my budget is 1500$ but could squeeze 200$ more.
This is the website by the way:
