First thing is -- IL-2 only sees first 8 controllers, so you have to either reorder them or unplug/hide the extra devices you don't need. I used HidHide to just hide MFDs and stuff I didn't need.
Second, with WW you have middle positions on switches that are an actual button. That's often pretty useful in DCS. IL-2 controls management is badly coded as it doesn't just register inputs when the button is pressed but also (or maybe "only") when it's released. WW 1-1-1 or 1-1 switch will have one input going on and another going off when you move the switch and that confuses IL-2 to no end. You can just try to bind it multiple times making sure the button numbers make sense and do it that way -- or use WinWing's software to just disable the middle positions of 1-1-1 switches. That will fix those for you.
With 1-1 switches you have to do them in reverse order, most of the time that works because of what I wrote before - IL-2 will register on "button_up" kind of event, so just bind stuff of a 1-1 switch the other way around and it should be ok. Because of how the switches are built sometimes the order of the events is reversed... You have to try a couple of times and test immediately in-game to be sure it's bound correctly.
It's annoying, because there's nothing wrong with the hardware -- it's IL-2 coding that's ass.
Feel free to DM me if you want to set that stuff up together sometime. It wouldn't be a problem.
