Thrustmaster T-Flight Rudder Pedals
Is there anywhere else other than "The Axis setting" I should be setting this device up in?
What is happening is my brakes are always about a quarter on. This makes takeoff in the A10c II impossible.

In the Axis Tuner Panel it shows when brake is pressed IN = -100 OUT = -100
On the graph it shows fully on and fully off.
I have not set curve etc as I have no idea what effect they have.

This is the default setting:
DEAD ZONE = 10
SATURATION X = 100
SATURATION Y = 100
CURVATURE = 0

Back in Windows GAME CONTROLLER SETUP the brake shows that it is working OK
If I remove the Axis setting and use the keyboard setting all is fine. I use RCTRL+ENT to bring up a box on the bottom left to see what controls are doing what and I can see that the brakes are about quarter on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

In DCS set the axis up to be a slider (first of the 3 checkboxex on the lower right).

The "joy.cpl" whows the value visually which might be confusing. Because if the input is very small, you will not be able to see that. I suggest to use DIviewer to see the values in numbers.
This is direct link to download this ultility. http://www.leobodnar.com/files/DIView.zip

Next thing is: Never use the windows calibration tool (joy.cpl). This devices have saved the calibration data in its firware. By using the windows calibration tool you may mess everything. If you have alredy used that, reset the windows calibration data and use the calibration tool provided by the manufacturer.

Last thing: as usually make sure there is no double binding - means two controllers assigned to one command.

Thanks for the link that Utility is great. When I said Windows Calibration Tool I should have been a bit clearer, it's does not calibrate it just shows what the different functions are doing.
It's actually The "joy.cpl" you mention, I didn't know it's proper name. :)

I never had any calibration tool from the manufacture other than what came with the HOTAS. I never used it as it was a bit too involved. I think it was called T.A.R.G.E.T or something similar. I will have to check and see if there is one.

I have checked for any double bindings and couldn't see any.

Every thing is great if I unbind the Brakes and use the KEYBOARD binds, it's just a bit difficult with only two hands need a third one :steamhappy:

Just tried the SLIDER but it made no difference.
I INVERTED the bind in AXIS so virtually no brakes and yay takeoff works. Only problem is I have no brakes when landing. :steamsad:

"slider" option allows you to adjust dead zones, curve, saturation, e.t.c.. assymetrically. That is its main purpose.

From this page (official thrustmaster support) download and use the calibration tool.
https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/product/tfrp-en/
There is also included guide how to use it:

Thanks Troll Norris I'll check those links out. :)

Yeah I have tried the T.A.R.G.E.T before I"ll give it another try. The software is listed as win 10 I have win 11 but it should work.

Well not really sure what I did using the T.A.R.G.E.T software but it made my brakes turn all the way off.

Thanks for the suggestions Once again you have solved the problem and I am very grateful.
