AMD 3700X -> 5800X3D upgrade fixed CPU bottleneck on Enigma's cold war server

Yesterday I joined Enigma's cold war server for the first time and my (Rift S VR) performance was between 20-30 fps when I scaled down the graphics settings to bottleneck the CPU.

specs yesterday:

cpu: AMD 3700X
gpu: Radeon 6950 XT
mem: 32GB @ 2400 Mhz default

As the 3700X and 5800X3D were so incredibly similar specs-wise, I held off on upgrading for a long time until today. Knowing that my memory timings were unstable above 2400 Mhz contributed to this decision.

Today, without VR, I would immediately get 165hz (monitor vsync) and with VR it is locked at the native 80hz. So my CPU bottleneck is solved.

gpu: Radeon 6950 XT
mem: 32GB @ 3200 Mhz XMP profile

I post this for anybody else who doubts upgrading their CPU is worth it.
