Steam and standalone install at same time possible?

I bought a new P-51 campaign. I transferred the license and noticed this:

Steam account
Use your Steam account to link licenses to your DCS account. Attention! After the link is done you will not be able to use your Steam DCS account unless you unbind!
Status: Bound

So i have to unbind the steam account to use it? Then if i buy more stuff on steam i have to rebind the account on DCS website?

You can have both at the same time. But it is not practical. It will use double ammout of storage size.

Yes, you have to unbind the steam account. You can always to bind the account again. This had to be introduced because there were people exploiting the old system. You could sell your ED or Steam account without loosing access to addons. BTW according to EULA you can not sell your ED account. You "sell" it, but it is still yours.

If you sold your account, you can get it back because of this. But If you will exploit that, you may have problems with the police because by selling account you have violated the EULA.

lol...Not selling my account. Its mine. I dont have a criminal mind. The crap people come up with to screw people over is amazing.

Its the same with WoW accounts though. You could sell them and then get them back if you really wanted to and had the proof you were the original owner.

The lesson is this, dont buy WoW accounts as you could pay a lot of money for it and then lose it. People lost thousands of dollars on accounts. They buy accounts with rare titles and armor only to get screwed.

I have both standalone and Steam in the same time and only took 1 copy of storage.
Use WIndows Hard links share files between Steam edition and standalone :
