Check that in Windows both axis are working correctly (device settings).
When in DCS options -> controls -> axis assignment, double-check there's no duplicate bindings which might be interfering.
And check the column you are using when binding: if you are using wrong column the input from other devices is filtered during binding.
Hmm.. Not sure what could cause that..
Are the stick and throttle both recognised in the Windows Device Manager AND under Game Controllers? In the Device Manager it should say "HID-compliant game controller" (twice) and under Game Controllers it should say "Joystick HOTAS Warthog - status OK" and "Throttle HOTAS Warthog - status OK".
Have you tried running the Windows calibration tool (look for and run joy.cpl) and then select the throttle -> Properties -> Settings and then click the "Revert to standard" button? If I remember things correctly the Windows calibration tool messed up the axis reverse speeds somehow and reverting to standard for the device helped. At least worth a shot.
NOTE: There are actually two tools: one for the throttle (Throttle Warthog Calibration v1.07) and one for the stick (HW_Stick_Calibration v1.13). If the downloads in the ED forums doesn't work for some reason, PM me and I can send you the tools in a zip file. I use them on my machine now and then. They aren't available at the TM webpage since where sent out by TM support on request.
Also, the tool seemed a little unclear on how to do the cal. For example, when I move the stick to the stick forward and press the spacebar. Do I return the stick to center prior to moving left, or do I just roll the stick to the next position? I know that might be a crazy question but I just want to be sure I’m doing it right.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I did email TM tech support however, with it being the weekend I don’t think I’ll hear from them soon
And in the future stay away from other software: configuration in DCS is all you need and should do since there is axis tune within DCS as well.
That is just usual stuff with windows and removable drives..
