DCS World Steam Edition

DCS World Steam Edition

F-15 For stand alone DCS or for DCS Flaming Cliffs?
Was looking at buying the F15 for DCS (the free version) to add to my collection. But on the store page for the F15,the title says 'F-15C: DCS Flaming Cliffs'.This may be a silly question, but can the F15 be purchased and used for/in DCS? Or must I buy DCS:flaming cliffs for that?

It is "F-15C for DCS World". ;)

"F-15C: DCS Flaming Cliffs" is the name of the product, being a DLC/module for DCS World. It is called "Flaming Cliffs" to denote that it is derived from the Flaming Cliffs series of products, and therefore does not have the same high-fidelity systems modeling as other DCS World products have. (The F-15C does however have a new and very advanced flight model as well as completely re-done cockpit compared to the old Flaming cliffs.

Also note: There has never been a standalone "DCS:flaming cliffs". What you are probablu thinking about is Lock On: Flaming Cliffs? It is not required.

(EDIT: Clarified slightly since my wording was confusing.)

No you don't need FC3 to fly it in DCS World. These cheaper aircraft are included in FC3 but you can buy them separately as well.
Yeah cheers guys.Went ahead and purchased the the F15.Thanks alot for the quick responses guys.
:S

you could have bought flaming cliffs 3 and gotten the F-15C, Su-25A, MiG-29S/A/G, Su-33, Su-27, A-10A

EDIT:
errr nevemind looks like they correctly price the DLC now at 9.99 which is not to bad of a buy.

Yeah I realised that but it wouldnt of made much difference as I had the A-10C already and to be honest, none of the others appeal hugely to me as a buy.And like you said,it was only $9.99 (£7) for to buy anyways.
