I setup a 34 AI units antiship and ground mission engage in combat simultaneously , big amount of missile and projectiles in mid of air all the time. already used 100% my I7 9700k.
A good CPU definitively helps. 6 gen is about 6 years behind. It's about time to upgrade.
If you not interested in 4K then GPU wise you can down a little bit.
I only play at 1080p now. Guess I'll have to buy new rig in order to enjoy this game. Else, the lag from slow CPU & GPU really makes it hard to fly especially when using TPOD.
DCS uses nearly 50% of my ram and 78% of my vram (50gb). It runs my gpu at 98% cpu between 40 and 80 % This build is my finally happy with the performance + I have the graphics cranked up. Ultra widescreen with head tracking is a good alternative for us non VR players. Graphics float at 120 (monitor refresh rate). Heavy load of vehicles events and trees can still pull me down into the 40s rarely at times but usually lows are in the 60s-90s.
This is computer number 5 since I started DCS.
Got it, I can guess roughly where it could get me at 1080p.
Thanks guys, I'll go for latest CPU & GPU so that they'll last longer before getting obsolete. Hopefully I can get the F-15E DLC by then and enjoy the game.
Thanks for the info, I only play on single player solo up against AI.
yes, I'm going to get that.
