Normandy 2 - which version to buy?

I got the Channel map some months ago and it was said that owners of Normandy 1944 or The Channel will get a reduced price for N2. Today N2 was going live and I see 3 Versions to buy:

1. Full - that's clear
2. upgrade - for N1
3. upgrade - for N1 (lower price)

Which one do I have to choose, when I only got the Channel???

Lol! I too totally thought through all this hype that Channel owners got the same discount as owning Normandy 1944. And yes, you got more discount if you owned both.

It's looking like you only get a discount if you own Normandy 1944, NOT Channel at all.

It was stated the N1 OR Channel users will be able to get it reduced (roundabout 15 bucks), not N1 AND Channel.

Exactly, confirmed multiple times too. Steam will allow me to buy either of them, but I don't own Normandy so dont want to risk my money

I have a 19gb update... I own both maps, N1 and Channel... Also an option to upgrade for £8

but when I do go to purchase, steam tells me i already own one that's in my library, ''Normandy'' ???

Well no, the "Both" discount was always clear - and yes that can be seen above. So yes, that much was true.

But I understood the "OR" users discount like OP. N1 OR Channel, exactly like you said.

Apparently that was not the case as it turned out. The less discounted one says very clearly "↑"For those of you who own DCS: Normandy 1944"" Nothing about "OR".

Only Normandy 1944. Not Channel. Not "OR". Just N1. Oh well.

I kind of thought it was too good to be true.

Damn, I just bought it. Didn't read this through. I though Steam will present an update option that it's suitable to what I have. What now? Will it work? I haven't started downloading since I don't know how this will affect potential refund request.

Normandy 1944 $14.99 USD
The Channel $14.99 USD
Normandy 1944 & The Channel $9.99 USD

However, there seems to be a licensing issue saying already have a license, if you own 1944, and no option for the Channel only one. OR its the same link as the Normandy 1944 only link and they need to amend the description

If they add a fourth Version "Upgrade for owners of The Channel" for 13.95 EUR everything is fine :)

Yes I have this issue, I have the option to upgrade, I own both maps, But also without purchasing anything, i have a 19gb update

Yeah it's probably a mistake with the description - the last Normandy 2 newsletter (ie, recently and officially) made it pretty clear:

Strangely, it also mentions "will include Free upgrades to the existing Normandy 1944 map" but that clearly must mean 'changes and updates to the existing map', and they must have not meant to imply you had to buy normandy 2 to get "free" updates to the original map lol

This is all kinda strange, but I find it hard to believe they made THAT big of a mistake with the Channel only upgrade option.

I guess we will see.

I just checked, What Wallace321 is saying is correct as in regards to ''Free Upgrades''
as i have only had a update for Normandy, not had free upgrade... I think they made a typo and its meant to say ''Free UPDATE'' for Normandy

What do you mean? You can only see N1 in you Steam DLC list?
