Disabling Windows Power service safe?
Hello, so I've always had an issue with stuttering in DCS, I spent countless hours troubleshooting and trying to fix it. Then I finally stumbled across a fix that actually worked while doing web searches.

The method is to disable Windows 10 Power service which controls power management in Windows. It works like a charm and DCS is smooth as butter now but I was wondering, can disabling the power service possibly have any negative side effects for my pc as well as my other games?

So far everything seems to be working just fine and I haven't had any strange issues yet but I just want to make sure I don't mess up my pc or other games by keeping it disabled.

have you try disable DCS hotplug option before?

There is near no negative impact except more power consumption since it no longer can selective poweroff devices and scaling CPUs.

On PC you just receive a bit slightly bigger electricity bills. On notebook or anything use battery then may your battery life RIP.

Ok good to know I don't have to worry about any issues, I don't mind the bit of extra power though I do try to be environmentally friendly when I can, at least I have an 80 Plus Gold PSU. :steamhappy:

I never heard of the DCS hotplug, is that a setting in the settings menu or something? Or where can I find it?

Thanks for your very helpful reply.

Ok I will, thanks again for your help. Either way I'm just unbelievably happy right now that I can FINALLY play DCS World without that terrible stuttering:

They really need to put these tips in a manual or something so I wouldn't have had wasted literally dozens of hours of my life troubleshooting this.
