thank you
Having said you would still need to learn the key binds.
I own FC3. I bought the full physical disk FC2 package and it came with a huge spiral bound manual and a huge map that i have no use for as flying to way points, on time and at the correct altitude ect is way over my head being prop ww2 head. FC3 has a game mode. Simple avionics and coms. Using my full clickable cockpit planes i could enable that but i wanted to learn how to fly in real full physics with all buttons to press. I wanted to send the map to troll norris since they are ever present and ever so helpful to all of us noobs, but i dont want to freak the person out by asking what their address is to send the map to,lol.
FC2 was my introduction to ED many years ago.
My physical disk copy of FC2 was somehow disabled by the makers who, it seems, are not associated with ED. Some weird mixup of dev studio's, licenses and the new DCS ED world.
When i emailed them as to why my FC2 no longer worked with the correct serial number they were kind enough to give me a new copy of FC2 in the form of a downloadable .exe and serial number. This is what led me to buy FC3, since any company that stands behind their product like that and actually supports their customers like that, deserves future purchases.
Cant go wrong buying FC3 and many of us got started using that module. Great fun
Before you dive in head first. Make a decision as to remain here on steam or go over to the stand alone version that is independent of steam. Any steam planes can go to stand alone. Not vice versa.
For somebody that loses internet for long periods for whatever reasons, as is my case right now with moving house, the stand alone seems to be the one to use as once you go in offline mode the program no longer needs to phone home for authentication. Some caveats apply. Cant change any hardware at all while offline. Going offline in steam requires phoning in to authenticate every three days. Not ideal if you have no internet at all and wont get any for a while. Yeah you can use your phone but that is just a pita.
From a consumer and customers perspective i have to say that this is the best i have been treated so far by a company whose assistance i have required. I am not one to moan about bugs ect. They happen. And patches here comes often so it will get fixed, eventually.
