Some at least 8GB VRAM GPU - RTX2080 (or 3070, 3060) I prefer 2080 because it has up to 11GB of VRAM.
32GB RAM
512GB SSD drive
OS W10
The specs that Troll Norris laid out above are pretty much the norm for DCS but I would go further on the SSD and say that you will want 1TB dedicated to DCS since your install can get quite large as you get more maps. For reference, my current DCS install is 400 gigs. A 512 gig SSD will fill up VERY quickly when dealing with DCS.
Beyond the system, there is another aspect you will want to consider. Peripherals. This can become something of a rabbit hole of a topic but you will want to seriously think about the functionality you will want (perhaps based on what DCS modules you wish to focus on) and find the setup that lets you do what you want to do without a lot of fuss or compromise. The flight sim peripheral market is pretty expensive overall. The entry level stuff isn't worth the price you pay and the higher end stuff (while quite well built and well designed) is quite extreme when it comes to pricing.
If anything. I would just be careful because sometimes the most popular options are not the ones that will work best for you. Sometimes those options are popular not because they are well built or versatile but because they are inexpensive and thus more accessible to a wider market.
Generally speaking. You will want a HOTAS, rudder pedals, and some kind of head tracking (IR headtracking or VR).
When you look at the current mainstream gaming trends, getting a RTX 3070 at this point is not a great idea (I say this as someone who made that mistake). Now that developers have moved on from the prior generation consoles, mainstream releases are now moving past the 8 gigs of VRAM that many existing GPU's have.
If anything, it would be smart to higher-end 40 series cards that have more than 8 gigs of VRAM.
