Cant hear my RWR, Jester or Awacs
Got on the game last night and i was not able to hear Jester speak when i was in the f-14B. I was also not able to hear my RWR. Due to this i restarted my game and changed aircraft to the Su-27 to see if i could hear it and once again nothing. I'm also not able to hear the ground crew or AWACS. so far ive tested the Harrier, F-14B and Su-27.

Check audio devices configuration page and ensure that "headphones" is set to your main audio device.

the weird thing is that i can hear my plane and guns/rockets

Do a repair, check if you have mods installed, check hardware.

Had an issue somewhat like this last night. Was spectating someone in an F/A-18 and heard nothing while looking at the front. When I panned my camera towards the rear I could hear the jet.

If the Aircraft is faster than speed of sound, you can not hear it in front of the aircraft.

Be aware that some sounds like comms, warnings and RWR are being put directly into your ear using the helmet´s speakers. That´s why you have the option to set different audio devices. So check it and make sure, your helmet audio is set accordingly, you´ll be just fine :)

This issue is called "speed of sound" :) Perfectly normal.

They were dogfighting another aircraft burning a ton of energy. If they were above Mach 1 there is no way it was for the amount of time I was spectating them.

I have an intermittent issue that pops up with the UHF volume turning all the way down seemingly on it's own.

I use voiceattack, but I checked and double checked that there was nothing in VA or control settings that confiicts with the UHF volume up/down setting.

It was happening a lot months and months ago, then stopped, and over this past weekend it was doing it again.

So maybe check your UHF volume and make sure it hasn't turned all the way down on its own.
