You can also download the non-steam version of DCS:World where is ability of 14-day triall for each DLC separately. There also is 50% discount for the first purchase.
I have been looking for a helicopter game for a while, that isn't all combat. But have no money. I will give the mods a try.
Thanks again,
Razar.
Besides that DCS is basically alll about combat and military aviation. You're pretty much exclusively about to fly military aircrafts in combat enviroments. So I highly doubt it will fit your expectations of a non combat helo simulation.
Do you have joystick or you want to fly with gamepad?
Unfortunately many steam users do not want this information to be known and get mad when others suggest doing because they have sour grapes about buying DCS though here and not on the official site like most intelligent people did.
Thanks.
And to be honest, I don't pay much attention to fanatics in any subject. Just like I don't pay much attention to ones that are on the other end of the spectrum.
I like facts. Both good and bad.
The only reason I will not be downloading it from the company, is because I just like having things in 1 place to get to. Only reason I use Steam at all, to be honest.
Thanks again for the suggestion,
Razar.
lol. you are clearly a fanatic (to steam)
have fun never being able to try any module ever, for free, have fun paying 10-15% more for modules, have fun missing out on extended sales, have fun not having discounts forwarded on anything you've ever bought
in addition to this:
running DCS though steam uses 15+ more of RAM than would otherwise be used through DCS standalone
Steam users on average have 10-15 less FPS than DCS stand alone users
XD
