Relatar um problema com a tradução
I won't say there's nothing wrong with the Hornet, but the Hornet is one of the most popular modules in DCS. If a magical speed barrier was preventing it from accelerating, it would be a widespread issue, but it isn't.
You are almost certainly doing something wrong, either with the avionics, with your HOTAS controls, or with how you're flying the plane. A video of your problem occurring would be very helpful for people here in the forum.
It might also be useful to meticulously review your startup and takeoff procedures, and make sure you aren't missing something that's gimping your aircraft.
How can I post videos here, can you me out?
I feel like youre probably making some basic mistake, theres a lot you can do wrong in a complex game like this.
What is your climb angle? The F18 isnt slow in itself, but its acceleration and climb capability is a bit slow, so it takes longer to get up to speed. This is also affected by your payload.
Like, without afterburner you probably want to climb at 10-15 degrees at most, and check how your speed changes with that.
If it works in training but not elsewhere, then it sounds like pilot error.
How long have you been playing? One of the more common things I've seen with new players (and experienced myself) is being too aggressive on the controls. This could be pitching up too hard or too often, turning too hard, climbing too steep....
Maneuvering costs energy, and the Hornet in particular is not the most powerful jet. It's great at low speed and high AOA, but once you're in that state it's not going to power back to 500 knots like a Viper. At some point you've got to unload, drop the nose, and get your energy up.
As Troll suggested, just upload to YouTube and post the link here. Ideally, show the startup and takeoff, and then fly around as you normally would until you start having problems. Maybe then somebody can help you figure things out.
That's definitely not normal.
If you have "Game Mode" enabled in your settings, turn it off.
Definitely doesn't look normal. Like was said - if you have "Game Mode" turned on, turn it off and never turn it on again.
Yeh wouldve sucked to have a broken module after paying so much xD
But the F18 is pretty complete and polished, that thing can do a lot of stuff. Have fun!
Glad it's working. Have fun.
