If you're new, it's best to set up your own controls and refine them as you learn. Chuck's Guides are a good start for the basics of what to cover along with videos like the one above. It can feel overwhelming, but in the end you won't be fighting the control layout someone else set up.

If that still proves daunting or frustrating, go to the DCS website and you can search there for a profile under the download section for user files.

i used the x52 before moving to the winwing f16ex , i assume you are familiar with the x52 software , how to bind the ministick as a keypress using bands (you then bind this within DCS for TGP slew assigned as the key presses you setup earlier) .... disable the clutch function so you have access to the throttle thumb button?.

what i would suggest is setting the pinky switch on joystick as a modifier , this will allow you double the functions on a single button.

As for profiles , sorry i cant help with that but seriously do it on the fly assign them yourself as you do the training mission , i found i remember them easier that way , also as tequila pointed out , chucks guides are superb , i have pages setup as kneeboards i can read while having some quiet flights.
