The VKB TECS is (by design) not really great for DCS level combat jets (especially ones with even somewhat modern control layouts). It is better to get even the T.16000m because at least then you will have a logical hat/switch/button layout.
Yes and winwing F18 throttle is a very good all-round throttle. The split throttle is excellent for ww2 planes, using one for RPM and one for Boost/MP. It also has all the buttons you'll need for ww2 and modern jets.
