Can't host local server
Whenever i try to host a local server and my friends try to join it just says "Server Offline" but when a specific friend hosts one it works fine, while others also cant get it to work (the friend that is able to make it work says he didnt do anything, he just hosted one day and it worked). Triple checked the IP and port, even tried opening the port on windows firewall and nothing seems to work. Does anyone perhaps know a fix for this?

although i'm not sure i was very clear with my other message. when i open that website on my PC (where i wanna host the server) i see that that IP is the same as the ip that DCS automatically gives me. just when i search on my router i can see that the IP for my PC is different than the one both the website and DCS show/give me.

Yes, that's correct. Because it is just Web UI which is located in Your computer and not in internet. So the Web UI sees the same thing as DCS which is local IP address provided by your router for your PC.

But you have to open your router setting. Usually the IP address to access the router's firmware is same as the IP address of gate. But for example routers made by Asus have special address "router.asus.com". There you enter the router admin name and password. The default name and password is usually written right on router or in router's manual. Once in firmware, check the IP address written in WAN connection settings. This address must be same like is in the https://www.whatismyip.com/

Or maybe not. I don't have DCS:W dedicated server software. But when I try to host server from game, I can see my public IP.

i dont use dedicated server either, i just wanan host one with the game to play a custom mission i made with friends without having to pay for it... I do also have 2 different routers, 1 ASUS one wich looks like it might use it's antenna to walk away one day and another one given to me by my ISP, wich is the one i'm connected to by ethernet cable so the ASUS one doesnt have anything to do with my connection.

O.k. It was just example. Like I told, you have to open router's menu and check the WAN address, port forwarding, optionally UPnP.

You have to find manual of desired router in internet. There is written how to get access.

In that case you may have public IP. But it is not 100%. To be 100% sure you need to ask your internet service provider.

Maybe you need to set port forwarding in the router. So you need to access its settings. There you need first set static Local IP for your PC. Then set port forwarding for desired local IP of your PC.

so i was messing arround a bit and did a test from my ISP and it says that my device doesnt support IPv6, is this good or bad?

Since you are connected via IPv4 it does not matter.

It does not matter because you need public IPv4, not IPv6.
But the game uses my IPv4 wich is the same as the website shows me? i'm sorry if i'm just not understanding but this is all very confusing to me...

It is very difficult to explain to someone things about networking just via text messagin. But we've found the issue is not in DCS and your IP is probably public. The only thing to check is the port forwarding.

Oh yeah i get that it can be difficult to explain... so i would have to port forward on the router i'm connected to correct? i'll just google how to do that i guess

Yes.
The principle of setting is always the same, but it is done differently in each router.
First you need to set assignment of local IP addresses to your PC. That means your PC will always have the same local IP. It is important to keep your PC's local IP static. So you will find MAC address of your PC and set the static local IP for it. For example you can set "192.168.10.100" Then you need to save router settings and restart it. After restart your PC will have the desired local IP address. Then open the router settings again and set the port forwarding. You want to forward port 10308 TCP/UDP to "192.168.10.100" if you set the IP address I've written as example.
