I jumped late on the Tacview train, but I must say it is really, really worth the money! Super easy to use, you figure out all the things in minutes without reading a manual, and I was so surprised how many things I learned which I only got to see by reviewing with Tacview.
I got the Advanced version, which has the benefit that you can connect with DCS and monitor it in real time. So for instance if one of your buddies is currently playing DCS in VR, you can put the Tacview real time situation on another monitor and efficiently review and talk on tactics while flying.
It allows you to learn tactics, moves and to study weapon performance in all sorts of situations.
As far as it being useful- for me, it's mildly useful. I don't PVP at all. It's fun to see how I went down against AI, but it almost doesn't matter because I usually die the same way next time too. :D
I think if you want to take your MP gaming to the next level, I'd say it's very valuable to be able to see and learn from your mistakes. If you're super casual about PVP, then probably not worth it.
Opened it up and the bandit shot down the bandit on my six.
Pretty funny how fratricide helped me come out in a 2 on 1.
Give that a go.
