Mig-21bis afterburner wont engage
when I push the throttle all the way, afterburner does not start

is it bound to an axis? it's known mig-21 thing.

Do you actually have afterburner enabled? Switched on in the cockpit?

Yes the afterburner switch is on

Check analog input in DCS options -> controls -> axis assignment.

Throttle/thrust should be set to analog input in your joystick.

mig-21 for afterburner last i knew HAD to be bound to an axis to get AB.

TBH 95% of the players who play this own a joystick.....this game is a simulator and not a game it is not meant to be played with M+K unless your playing Combined Arms.

I know but I just started playing this and I dont have joystick yet but until I get one is there a way to get it working

not that i am aware of, every time i have seen is spoken of it mentions having to have it bound to an axis.......

Maby look around in here it's been discussed.

I had this problem when running the beta version of the game (on steam), when i turned beta version off it reverted back to the normal version and has worked fine ever since.

Go to your steam game library, right click on DCS World > properties > betas > opt out of all beta

FINALLY, I got it working. I bought a joystick and everything works perfect. Thanks to all of you for your help
