The LWR (Laser Warning Receiver) is described on page 6-47 and the LWS panel is on page 6-96 of the DCS BS2 Flight Manual EN.pdf located in C:\...\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Ka-50\Doc
It's just a switch to set to ON/OFF and a Green Light.
Once the LWS is turned on, the LWR shows 4 directions and the state in which a painting laser is in, like Range-Finding Mode and Guidance Mode. It's very simple, either the laser is painting/ranging or guiding a missile. There's also an audible warning.
But again, there's no Missile Warning System. So any other missiles, like Radar or Passive IR missiles are not detected. But EOS/IRST from a fighter jet will be detected once within the Laser Range Finder's range.
if you get good you can lock it below 5 meters and get very close and personal (engaging big bad ass SAM with cannon etc)
pretty sure the ka52 has an RWR.
