Thrustmaster have their new HOTAS due out later this year,I have my eye on that for sure.
I don't think the stick has a specific programming software (I use the DCS ingame settings).
Do you think a higher dead zone would actually fix it? Because the twitch is spiking very hard, sometimes to max, and staying there for some time.
Also the new stick coming out, is it going to be like the X in terms of price?

Second thing, check that there is no double-binding in axis assignment in DCS that might be interfering.
Same with the stick if just resting has it flickering inputs you gotta add some dead zone in dcs axis assign
Flickering will mean your attitude forever changing and bleeding energy during cruise or retrimming without any speed change
It's essential so you are not fighting the plane
