When you have too much devices, check the horisontal scroll bar on the bottom of controls options screen.
Check that you have downloaded latest drivers, firmware, SIMAPP PRO, e.t.c..
Updated firmware today via SimApp... And it's all the same... I mean strange DCS World behaviour with pushbuttons. Specifically, I'm talking about AA/AG, CTR, L0, R0, L1, R1 buttons. They work in F-18 and dont trigger at all in some other modules I played: Su-27, P-47, I-16. Other switches work fine. This is super wierd.
Could you test that those pushbuttons work for other modules like P-47 or Flaming Cliffs?
I guess only developer of DCS controls subsystem could explain and fix this behaviour.
First of all, many addons have different assigns for game avionics mode. The game avionics mode is turned on in gameplay options menu.
For example in controls options menu you can see "F/A-18C Game" and "F/A-18C sim"
The "game" is for game mode and "sim" is for sim mode. As I wrote, the game mode is acivated by "game flight mode" and "game avionics mode" checkboxes.
The modifiers:
In DCS:World modifier window you can see two tables.
The left table called "modifier" are triggers which are active only when you press and hold the modifier button
The right table "switches" works the on/off way. Press button to turn on modifier. Press button again to turn off modifier.
Make sure all this is set properly. Also I suggest to check "no force from mission, use mine" preset in gameplay options menu.
It was already ON.
One more experiment: WinWing plugged into dedicated PC usb slot. Unlike before it was USB hub for 5 ports.
Switched "Encoder interval time" in SimApp to max 200ms.
WWing single CTR pushbutton still doesnt work in game mode in SU-27 (was assigned to turn power on in SU-27, which is shift+L by default) Only triggered in control settings page.
Then I added "left ctrl" MOD to CTR, and it started to work magically (in control page and in game too).
So I think "interval" setting or USB are not the reason why buttons were not scanned by DCS in game mode, it is something else in controls subsystem.
Questions to devs:
1) if it works in control settings mode. why does not work in game (this is most obvious question)
2) If it works with MODifier, why DCS could not read single CTR pushbutton? (and also LO,RO,LI,RI,A/A,A/G from WinWing Combat panel)
3) Why mentioned pushbuttons work only in F-18 and not in some other planes? (Su27, I-16, P-47)
Haha, I've checked each plastic button in "Il2 Stalingrand" - LO,RO,LI,RI,A/A,A/G. And my WinWing specimen from Aliexpress works fine there!
Unfortunally I still haven't found a solution for DCS planes (except F-18 where it works fine too).
Single buttons work. Not the 3 ways. Like flaps, gear, hook etc. And I've not been able to get trim hat on the stick to work. So I have to trim using the axis on the take off panel.
