reset resolution

Is there a way to reset resolution for the game without going into the gam? My monitors are set up for 1080, but I think the game is set for 4k.

Rename or delete "config" folder at:
C:\Users\<user name>\Saved Games\DCS

Start DCS to create new config.

it should reset the screen settings

I have deleted the whole game, and then redownloaded it. The freaking resolution is still there.

If you read the response, redownloading is pointless.
Edit the configuration file as instructed.

"It's not a bug, it's a feature." :D Think about all the other poor people that have to reinstall for whatever reason and lose all the controls. DCS uses the data from the user folder and those config files won't be deleted when reinstalling.

I have every DCS module and believe me setting up controls for all of them at the same time is a nightmare! :)

Btw, 1.5.4 open beta has new UI for options, maybe people stop asking about this then..

I really don't have enough experience with this game yet to fully understand what you mean, but it sounds like it might be a pain. Last night I spent a good part of the night setting up my Samsung VR so that I could use it on the computer, only to run into the resolution issue with this game last night. So I was kind of Mr. Crankypants after that. However, that being said, I went to bed and got some sleep, and today is another day. I'm looking for a good group of people who know how to fly, and know this game well. After I resolve this resolution thing I have to figure out how to set up my controls, and I have heard that could be a nightmare. I currently have saitek x52 flight stick and throttle. No rudder pedals yet though. I have the A-10c, Flaming Cliffs 3, and su-25 once I get everything up and running.

Well I didn't mention it last night, but I did actually delete the config folder, or at least I thought I did. when that didn't work I then deleted the whole game and redownloaded it.

if you have amd gpu and you was fiddling around vsr than that can be the problem. dcs works with vrs on only when the desktop resolution is the same or higher as tha one set in the game.

I deleted my Config file. Can someone please post it. I looked for it in my recycle but apparently it was too full to accept it(with all my il2 in there.) I'm having the same problem with my screen at 1600x900. The game screen is way too big. I have no idea what size to set it as 1600x900 was even more oversized. Any help would be appreciated.

Start the game, if there is no config folder, DCS will (or rather should^^) create one.
