Does DCS really needs Page File
Hello folks,

I've been sticking around by the problems that brought by Page File, wondering if there's a need of Page File for DCS.

I usually flys F-14 and my 16G RAM seems not enough for it to run on multiplayer, hence I'm having trouble with DCS setting up Page File(on a HHD) which causing me unstable gaming experiences like freezeing.

Not sure it's the problem causing by Page File or the game itself, as I installed the game on a M.2 SSD

Any suggestions?

Not advised to set Page File on SSD as it will affect your SSD life time. Unless you already know the risk.

Pagefile on SSD is no problem (i'm doing this for years now), just monitor your SSDs health.
I've got an extra m2 for DCS only and a 64 GB pagefile on it.

My rig got 32 GB ram but i still need to set a pagefile. Without it, DCS is very unstable in multiplayer (no problem on SP).

If you have enough RAM (more than 32 gigs), then you don't need the page file.
I have 64 gigs RAM, turned off page file and I am 100% fine with that. RAM usage was never over 75%
