Switch to aa guns F-16?
When im in a fight and its too close for missiles sometimes i want to switch to aa guns without going into the MFDs is there a way to just press a different button and have the guns shoot instead of the missiles.

That´s why there is Doghfight Mode. It´s a three-way switch located on the throttle. Use it.
It´s been a year since i last moved the falcon but as i remember it was:
AFT = DGFT position for Guns and Missiles.
FWD = MSL Override
Middle = Off (returning to last mode)

While in DGFT Mode, you fire the Gun seperately using the GunTrigger while you release missiles with the weapon release button.
I think that´s what you are looking for :)

More Details in the manual, pages 198 ff

Since all aircraft can be flown with just keyboard, the short answer is yes. Some button or sequence of buttons will be able to make that happen. But need to look up the instrument commands in either the Flight Manual or by browsing the Controls list.

Or maybe some kind F-16 pilot that has already done that will assist. :)

If you're to close for missiles, you should be in dogfight mode. You fire off Sidewinder with weapons release button and and cannon with the trigger.

I'm curious, have you ever opened the manual or the Chuck's Guide?
Try take a look at manual's page 198 (Chuck's Guide page 169).

The controls you want under "F-16C Sim" are labeled:

DOGFIGHT/Missile Override Switch - ...

I can't remember exactly how I set them up, and my HOTAS isn't connected right now to check, but it's pretty straightforward.
