Problem with DCS binds

I have been trying to set binds with a T16000 in DCS but when I click a button on the HOTAS it does not register in game. Any help with this?



*EDIT* OK I figured a few things out the only button that don't work are wheels, and sliders, the throttle does not work when I move it up and down nor does the wheel on the left of the throttle, or the little slider on the back of the stick.

What are you trying to bind and what aircraft? Under the keybindings, there should be both a column for the throttle and one for the actual joystick, so make sure you select the right one otherwise the button won't register because it's on the other hardware. Also, some bottons may be axis based and show up under the Axis controls.

The Throttle, Sliders, and anything else like that are under Axis Controls, which has to be selected separately from all the other "Non-Axis" controls. From there you can configure any control on the throttle or stick that is analog type.

When i go to axis controls there a lot of customisation missing, like i want one of the wheels to be for my zoom, zoom isn't there

The throttle should already be bound I think.

it wasn't, but i got it thank you for the help, now i want to bind zoom on a wheel but i cant find zoom in axis controls

There should be a separate column for the controller. It is in that column that you open up the dialog to select the specific control. Note that if you want to use the wheel, you will need to find the zoom in and zoom out commands and set those up separately.

I did that with the hat on my joystick. Forward to zoom in and backward to zoom out.

Zoom In and Zoom Out are in the Cockpit View controls.

Well sadly there is not analog control zoom in this game so you have to use some buttons to control zoom.

Is it there? Are you sure? OP wrote he could not find it in axis controls. I use pinkie wheel on TWCS throttle as zoom in my other flight games, but not in DCS. I had to have good reason why dont. I will check it again when i come home.
