I just checked out the info on CaptoGlove and it seems like it's a dead project. I saw a couple of users on their forum stating that there's been no updates in a couple of years.
Making some HOTAS button as `Modifier key` allows to get rid of touching keyboard at all.
If your HOTAS has a couple buttons, or even better a hat-switch or two-way rocker, to spare then you can set them to left/right mouse clicks and use your head to aim the clicks. I forget the setting, but there's a way to set the mouse pointer to the center of the screen and have it not move. (Only downside is having the mouse cursor in the center of your vision all the time.)
I started to use trackball to interact with cockpit's switches and try to configure on stick and HOTAS as the real plane - I feel that immersion is better.
I just ordered left hand trackball (and new right hand trackball so both are identical) so I can operate switches with both hands.
Why a trackball, how is it different/better?
