Rotating knobs in VR?
How exactly do you do this? Using your VR controllers?

The VR menu says you click on them and then use your thumbstick, which doesn't work, and I have seen people say that you click on it and then flick or rotate your wrists, neither of which work for me either.

If it matters, I am trying on the KA-50 with an index (just in case it is module and/or headset specific).

I assume there is a way to do it. Is there a binding in the settings?

I use my mouse wheel. I don't use VR controllers.

Hold grip for laser, click trigger with laser on dial (doesn't matter how close your hand is to it), then move your hand up to move the dial right and move your hand down to move the dial down.

Also, for any knob that doesn't work like I described above (ex. the Huey radio dials), if you hold the grip and click trigger with the laser on the dial, you can then use your mousewheel with your other hand to spin it. Not ideal (and maybe there are better ways to do everything I've said that i'm unaware of), but it works.

Nah, this is one of the things that doesn't work. What headset/controllers are you using by the way? I am curious if it is headset specific.

At that point it's just better to use the mouse alone it'd seem.

I'm using the Index HMD + controllers. The problem with using "mouse alone" is that it is much, much harder to keep track of the mouse dot in VR than the hand controllers.

Actually the approach you say does work, just not on some specific knobs (like the knob to activate the backup ADI on the KA-50. Which was the one I was having issues with as part of trying to learn the startup sequence.

Why on earth would some knobs not work, but others do... That makes no sense.

The ADI knob has a button, that might be it. IRL, you can push or pull it to cage the instrument. DCS handling of it is probably not the best.
