DCS World Steam Edition

F15 has no tutorial?
I bought AH64D and it has full tutorial and also the two free planes but this model F15C has no tutorial at all, also why am I not able to push any buttons in the cockpit by the mouse in F15C?

Can someone give me some tips how to learn this aircraft?

NOTE: I Only have the base F15C DLC I have not purchased any missions for it.

F-15 is controlled almost the same way as the SU-25T. I suggest to check the manual for more info.

Thanks man, how about F14? I was planning on buying F14 and A10 modules but I want something as detailed as AH64D, any of them have the same system?

The aircrafts in DCD are devided into 2 categories
1 - aircrafts with SSM whic means Simplified Systems Modeling. In this category are all aircrafts from FC3 pack. Other aircrafts are in category with SSM which means Advanced Systems Modeling.

F-14 belongs to ASM category.
A-10A - SSM
A-10C - ASM

F14 has full clickable cockpit, in both seats.
A10-"C" has full clickable,
A10-A has non clickable

The F-15C comes with a manual from ED. You can find it in the folder or just download it from the ED site.

Alternatively I think there is a set of training missions that someone made, it should be available on ED userfiles.

I'd honestly take the manual over the GR tutorials, but ymmv

Yeah. Another vote for the manual as a better source of info. Barring that, Chuck's guides come in at second place.

FC3 aircraft are all low fidelity meaning no clickable cockpit, few unique systems and generally just a generic interface. Think of it as playing Ace Combat basically, that's why theyre so much cheaper than newer modules. There's very little to actually learn in them beyond how to turn on radar, click and shoot.

most aircrafts below 40 or 50 dont have clickable cockpits

Then what ? I have several modules that are high fidelity, like several helicopters and the F18 and the A10C2. Still I enjoy the F15 and one of its paid campaign by Baltic Dragon. It doesn't remove any of the fun, on the contrary :)

The key is. It still uses PFM which means very high detailed dynamics flight model. The engine, hydraulic and pneumatic system is still well simulated. The radar still works as it should. Just all the gizmo around does not work. Like engine start procedure,..... Similar to how IL2:BoX is made.

There are essentially two types of aircraft models in DCS World; the "study sim" high-fidelity where the cockpits are fully modeled with clickable buttons, and the non-study low-fidelity sim kind where not everything is fully modeled.

To the best of my knowledge (and others feel free to fill in the gaps here) the F-15, Mig-29, Su-27/33, Su-25T, and I think the A-10A fall into the latter.

They still have fairly realistic flight models and sensors, they just don't have the interactivity a lot of the other aircraft do.
