How hard is apache going to be? I can fly KA-50 but I don't own any other helicopters.
I mean is there autopilot system, do you need to trim it all the time etc.

There's gonna be a ****load of systems, subsystems and other gizmos to learn.

I think it'll combine the flying characteristics of the Ka-50 with the systems interaction of a modern jet like the Viper or Hornet

In a term of controlling the helicopter, it has to be harder than controlling Ka-50. The reason for it, is that the AH-64D using a classic helicopter scheme, main rotor and rudder rotor. Ka-50 have a coaxial, double, main rotor system, so you don't need to produce a counterpart force with rudder rotor to keep the helicopter stable. In other words, you don't have to push the pedal on take off and landing, to keep helicopter straight.

If you were owning Mi-8MTV2 and / or Mi-24P, then you were understand the difference between the classic scheme and coaxial scheme very quickly. When I first tried to take off Mi-8MTV2 I have crashed it. And I have crashed about an additional 30 times until I understood what exactly I have to do on take off. Then I have crashed an addtional 30 - 40 times on landing. And all of this after flying Ka-50 for a lot hours. So I guess AH-64D will be harder to control than Ka-50 but not harder than Mi-8MTV2 or Mi-24P.

By the way. If you like single player campaigns and you want to train flying a classical scheme helicoptes, then I recommend you to buy a Mi-8MTV2. It have a very good campain modules. I personally liked a lot the "The memory of a hero" campaing which requires both Ka-50 and Mi-8MTV2.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I have pretty bad joystick and I don't have rudder pedals. And handling rudder with my stick's yaw axis is pain.
I hope there Will be some sort of assist option.
I mean I really want to buy that apache but I can't afford to buy good hotas at the moment.

I don't have a pedals as well, but you can turn on the "Rudder trim" in a special options. Then you will be able to trim the pedals and you don't need to hold the joystick's yaw all the time. It helps a lot using the unguided missiles.

You can also turn on the "Trim with back to center" option, so each time after the trimming, the game will stop getting your joystick's axises inputs until the joystick is centered. It can help to prevent the in-game stick movement after trimming and as a result, the helicopter will continue flying in the right direction after you trimmed it and released the joystick. Otherwise the in-game stick is always making the last movement of your stick and you can't get a straight flight.

I've heard the Apache is a darling to fly and quite easy to operate according to SMEs.
Rest easy, brother. We all waver in our faith sometimes.

During these moments of despair and confusion, I remember the words of St. Wagner, the patron saint of DLC:

“Though shalt not asketh how large ye manual is, but thou shalt asketh — where ye manual be. Especialeth ye Early-Access in ye PDF.”

And

“If thou shall want to flyeth ye platform — thou can even flyeth with a keyboard and twist, verily!”

Amen.
